BRDC F4 cars test at Snetterton - 10 Apr 2013

Eight BRDC Formula 4 cars have completed in excess of 500 laps

during a semi exclusive test day at the Snetterton 300 circuit today (Tuesday 9 April).

Cars from Lanan Racing, Sean Walkinshaw Racing and Chris Dittmann racing reported successful running from the Norfolk circuit, completing more than 160, 200 and 75 laps respectively.

Lanan Racing's Graham Johnson said: "Today's gone well with no dramas and nothing untoward. We've been learning how the tyres work and we've been reasonably quick and knocking the drivers into shape! We've completed over 80 laps per car and are now looking forward to putting some fresh tyres on tomorrow and getting a lap time."

Sean Walkinshaw Racing's Ken Page commented: "It's been very good, we've done lots of laps with both drivers, the car has run reliably and it's been a good day. Each car has done 90-100 laps, and this has allowed us to make good progress with the tyres and set up. We expect to further dial in the car tomorrow and making further progress."

Chris Dittmann said: "Today we've been testing a new driver (Fredrik Johansen), and it was his first time in a car. Things are looking very positive and we've had no problems, allowing us to complete over 75 laps. Today was mainly about getting the driver comfortable in the car, but we've had some good feedback and some good steps have been made. We have another driver in the car tomorrow, and hope to build further and continue our progress."

Cars from HHC and Matt Bell's privately run machine were also in action, with the test continuing tomorrow (Wednesday).
