3rd quarter update - 5 Jul 2016

We are fast approaching our main events of the year, with a busy July ahead. Highlights are of course the British Superbike Championships this coming weekend and then the British Touring Cars at the end of the month.

August has the British GT event which also features the British F3 Championship. Following hot on these heals are the Truck Superprix in September and the Classic Motorcycle event over the Bank Holiday.

July Highlights

British Superbikes

Snetterton race fans will get closer than ever to the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship next weekend (July 8/9/10) with unparalleled access to the riders in an all-new MCE BSB Victory Circle, allowing spectators to immerse themselves in a vibrant hub of activity at the fifth round of the season.

The Victory Circle will give spectators the chance to get fully involved with all the celebrations and witness all the rider reactions and clashes after both the qualifying sessions and races during the weekend.

The unique experience will also allow fans to interact with the live Eurosport and ITV broadcasts, which traditionally have taken place in the pitlane. As well as the regular pundits, don't be surprised if Matt Roberts and James Haydon seek the fans' eye view!

Snetterton could also see the first Superpole shootout for pole position in Datatag Qualifying this season. The final top nine riders will return to Victory Circle straight after their hot lap to watch with the fans whether they have done enough to claim the top spot.

Access to the paddock is completely free and open to all spectators throughout the weekend and the picturesque Victory Circle is located adjacent to the circuit office as shown on the illustration.

Series Director Stuart Higgs commented: "We are always looking at new ways to give our fans a unique experience at MCE BSB events and we are delighted to announce the new Victory Circle at Snetterton.

"There is no doubt that this will give fans a chance to get closer to the teams and riders than ever before - whether it is shaking hands with the winner or seeing some post race red mist first hand, this new initiative will give fans of all ages the opportunity to get into the heart of the event and get to star in the live TV broadcasts.

"Put simply, the fans make the event and this is the championship's way of bringing them closer than ever before to the riders, the drama and emotion."

DUNLOP MSA BRITISH TOURING CAR CHAMPIONSHIP

SNETTERTON 300
SATURDAY 30 - SUNDAY 31 JULY 2016

The Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship is back for another season of excitement, drama and intrigue, plus plenty of bumper-to-bumper racing on track! It's the UK's biggest car racing championship, and stars highly-modified saloons and hatchbacks similar to those seen on the nation's roads.

A five-way fight for last year's title went right down to the wire, with Scotland's Gordon Shedden emerging as champion in the Honda Civic Type R. He'll be defending his crown against ever-tougher opposition and changes to the field have already been announced, including 2013 champion Andrew Jordan to Motorbase (Ford) and Subaru joining forces with Team BMR for drivers Jason Plato and Colin Turkington.

The second half of the season gets underway at Snetterton, and it's often a key indicator to which direction the title fight will take in the closing rounds. There's a party atmosphere too, with many fans camping at the track at the height of summer.

The weekend also features supporting action from the Porsche Carrera Cup GB, Renault UK Clio Cup, Ginetta GT Supercup, Ginetta Juniors and MSA Formula.

August Highlights

Grand Prix stars of the future will take to the track in the BRDC British F3 Championship single-seater series, with three races across the weekend. It's a landmark year for the revamped championship, with the new Tatuus-designed carbon fibre car attracting new teams and drivers. The opening rounds of the season took place here back in March, with superb racing generating unpredictable results.

A packed support package featuring many more categories will add further spice to the action.
