Tommy Bridewell topped the Bennetts British Superbike Championship warm up session at Snetterton, launching to the top of the times with his final lap as just 0.981s covered the top 13 riders ahead of Race 2 this afternoon.
Rookie Max Cook had set an impressive pace to take the chequered flag in the leading position but as the final flying laps came in for the session, improvements from his rivals dropped him down to sixth.
Leon Haslam initially displaced Cook from the top, but he ended the session fifth overall after improvements from Bridewell to go fastest and Kyle Ryde finding something in warm up to launch him up the order into second place after a challenging day yesterday.
Glenn Irwin was third fastest, narrowly ahead of home contender Ryan Vickers, with Haslam and Cook completing the top six.
Cheshire Mouldings Kawasaki’s Lee Jackson was seventh on the timesheets with Jason O'Halloran, Josh Brookes and Tito Rabat completing the top ten.
