Elite Motorsport’s Alisha Palmowski led the way in all three test sessions at Snetterton on Thursday, as preparations for the resumption of the GB4 Championship season started in Norfolk.

Having led the way in session one with a 1m49.535s and then followed that up with a 1m50.400s to top session two, she then found three tenths of a second in the final test, setting the best time of the day with a 1m49.242s.

The Oulton Park race winner was just 0.007s quicker than KMR Sport’s returnee Lucas Blakeley though, with the Esports world champion second quickest with his session three effort, at the circuit he made his GB4 debut at last year.

Fortec’s championship leader Linus Granfors was third quickest with a best lap of 1m49.702s, around four tenths away from the ultra-close top-two, and a similar distance clear of Elite’s Finn Harrison in fourth.

The second KMR car of championship challenger Harry Burgoyne was fifth quickest, a couple of tenths back from Harrison and half a second clear of Donington Park race winner Branden Templeton in his Fox Motorsport machine.

Burgoyne’s KMR Sport teammate Chloe Grant returned to the scene of her first single-seater contests and registered the seventh best time, 0.345s ahead of Graham Brunton Racing’s Callum Baxter.

Fortec’s Jack Taylor and Arden’s Leon Wilson completed the top-10, with each of the top-10 recording their best laps in the final session.

Action resumes at Snetterton tomorrow (Friday) with three more sessions around the 300 circuit.
