American driver Charlie Smith, who is yet to compete in car racing, set the quickest time of the Snetterton official GB4 Championship test on the second day of action at the Norfolk circuit. 

Having been second fastest on day one on Tuesday, Smith vaulted up the order on Wednesday, posting a 1m49.076s in the first of four sessions to end the day at the top of the pile.

With varying track conditions throughout the day, Smith was 0.386s quicker than Fortec's Thomas Ingram Hill, who also set his best lap in the morning. 

KMR Sport's Alex O'Grady was third quickest, 0.115s behind Ingram Hill, having set the quickest time in the fourth session. 

Nitrous Competitions ADM Racing's Luke Hilton was just 0.030s further back in fourth courtesy of his session one lap, and just under three tenths of a second clear of Fortec's Franek Cegielski, who was the lead rookie contender once more. 

Elite's Matan Achituv and Fred Green were sixth and seventh thanks to their laps first thing this morning, while Pace Performance's Torrin Byrne was eighth, heading a string of drivers who set their best times in session two. 

Hillspeed's Connor Willis and the second Pace machine of John O'Donnell completed the top-10 on the final day, which was covered by 1.223s.
