Speedworks Corolla Racing has confirmed their driver line-up for the 2026 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship, with multiple race-winner Josh Cook returning alongside Max Buxton in a Toyota Corolla GR Sport.
After switching to Toyota machinery for the second half of the 2025 season, Cook will now spearhead a full campaign behind the wheel of a Speedworks Toyota, and will be looking to build off a strong end to last year in which he won the final race of the season at Brands Hatch.
With 320 race starts, Cook enters 2026 as one of the most experienced drivers on the grid, with two Independent Drivers’ championships and 18 wins to his name.
There will be some familiarity for Buxton too, who also joined the championship midway through last season after graduating from the Fiesta ST150 Challenge. The 20-year-old made a promising start to his BTCC career for Speedworks and will be looking to continue to build on the speed and consistency he has already shown in Toyota machinery.
Josh Cook said: “It’s great to be back with Speedworks Corolla Racing. Winning the final race of 2025 together was a brilliant way to end the year, and it showed what we’re capable of. The aim now is to fight at the front consistently and challenge for wins from the outset.”
Max Buxton said: “I’m really pleased to be continuing with the team for 2026. Joining the BTCC midway through last year was a huge learning experience, and scoring points in my debut season gave me a lot of confidence. Now that I know the car, the team and the championship, the goal is to keep building and aim for regular points finishes. The support from Speedworks Motorsport has been fantastic, and I’m determined to repay that faith with strong, consistent performances throughout the season.”
