Double GB4 teams’ champions Elite Motorsport confirms four-car GB4 Winter Series entry

19 October 2026

2025 and ’26 GB4 Teams’ Champions Elite Motorsport will contest the inaugural GB4 Winter Championship with a strong four-car line-up on “home soil” at Snetterton over 24-25 October.

Henry Cameron and Harrison Mackie graduate from Elite’s Ginetta Junior Championship ranks to make their GB4 category race debuts as does Elite newcomer, Jesse Phillips, while John O’Donnell continues his path in GB4 with Elite for the first time.

American-Korean contender O’Donnell made his GB4 debut at the final round in 2025, and contested the full season in 2026. The 18-year-old enjoyed a strong upwards trajectory, culminating in a breakthrough podium finish at Donington Park in September, and should put that experience to good use this weekend.

John O’Donnell: “My goal is to win the GB4 Winter Series by scoring podium race results at the very least.”

British youngster Cameron is the son of 2017 Le Mans LMGTE Am podium finisher Duncan Cameron, and will makes his first single-seater race appearance. The Wilmslow 16-year-old raced with Elite in this year’s Ginetta Junior Championship, having also competed with the team for the first time at the end of last year.

Henry Cameron: “I just want to learn as much as possible by competing in the GB4 Winter Series.”

Like Cameron, Mackie will stay with Elite as he moves up from Ginetta Juniors into GB4. He was second in this year’s Ginetta Junior standings, with four wins. He also enjoyed an extensive and successful karting career with multiple titles in his formative years and is currently flying high in the Saudi F4 standings. Snetterton is very much a local circuit for the 16-year-old, as he lives just down the road in Attleborough!

Harrison Mackie: “My aim in the GB4 Winter Series is to do the best job I can. Learn as much as I can and gain valuable experience to help me improve as a driver.”

15-year-old Hampshire driver Phillips finished fourth in this year’s Ginetta Junior Championship with nine podium finishes, and has kept busy since by making his British F4 debut at the Brands Hatch season finale. He was also the series’ Winter Series champion last year. Prior to his Ginetta graduation, he’d dominated karting, with titles including the British and Bambino Kart Club Champion, British Karting Champion in 2022, and the IAME Winter Cup and Euro Series in 2023.

Jesse Phillips: “I’m looking to develop as much experience in the Winter Series while at the same time fighting for the title.”

Team Principal Eddie Ives: “We’re really pleased to be part of the inaugural GB4 Winter Series and to bring four cars to our ‘home’ circuit at Snetterton.

“Having won the GB4 Teams’ Championship for the past two seasons, it’s great to continue that momentum into the winter and give our drivers another opportunity to develop.

“Henry and Harrison are both making the step up from Ginetta Juniors where they’ve shown plenty of promise. Jesse arrives after a strong season and has already demonstrated his ability to win. John also joins us for the first time, bringing valuable GB4 experience and a podium result from earlier in the year.

“It’s an exciting line-up, with a good balance of drivers taking their first steps in single-seaters and others looking to build on what they’ve already achieved.

“We’ll be working hard to get everyone up to speed and hopefully make a strong start to this new championship on ‘home’ soil.”
