Grant fends off Proudford-Nalder for maiden GB4 victory in Snetterton Winter Series opener

24 October 2026

Douglas Motorsport's Conor Grant held off a race long challenge from teammate George Proudford-Nalder to claim victory in the Snetterton GB4 Winter Series opener.

The Irishman held the lead at the start, and a lap two challenge from Australian driver Proudford-Nalder, to secure his first GB4 victory in the process. The pair were rarely separated by more than half a second, as Grant had to withstand constant pressure, including on the final lap.

Elite Motorsport's Jesse Phillips completed the podium for Elite Motorsport in his first GB4 race.

The Douglas pair stormed clear early on, opening up a 1.5s advantage over Phillips by the end of the first lap and trading fastest laps on each of the opening five tours of the Snetterton circuit.

Grant was able to keep his team-mate at bay throughout, but had his work cut out after a last-lap attempt from Proudford-Nalder. The Australian looked around the outside of Agostini, running alongside Grant, but the Irishman was able to defend the inside into Hamilton and maintain the race lead.

With Phillips completing the podium, much of the attention turned to the battle for fourth, with John O'Donnell keeping Lewis Goff, Harrison Mackie and Chase Fernandez behind.

Mackie started from sixth but dropped to eighth on the opening lap. However, the debutant fought back and even challenged Goff for fifth late on, but was unable to get past. Just 0.815 seconds separated the pair across the line, with Fernandez 0.232s further back in seventh.

Fox Motorsport's Archie Bullard climbed from 10th to eighth, with Jamie Leverton ninth for Nitrous Competitions ADM Racing. Qarrar Firhand completed the top 10 for Fortec Motorsport, just two tenths ahead of Fox Motorsport's Jasser Iskander.

Race two is due to start at 15:20 UK time with Proudford-Nalder on pole.
