1st Quarter - Official Update - 14 Jan 2019

Our 1st Official update for the year!

We have been busy over the last 6 weeks or so, with improvement works to Pit wall safety, with the installation of FIA approved Debris Fence, extention to the public WiFi systems and coverage and enhancements to the internet commentary systems for race day commentary. This is now available around the site on your smart phone, at all race events.

Just fire up the 'Snetterton Live!' app (free to download) and you have access to the live race commentary as well as the timing feeds which give race positions. It also provides an interactive map, and all the details regarding upcoming race events.

Our first track activity commences on Saturday the 19th of January with a car track day, followed on Sunday the 20th with Inspire Races for their 5K and 10k 'run'.

Our first competitive event of the year takes place on Saturday 16 February, with the:

Snetterton Stages Rally

Snetterton hosts motorsport of a different variety early in 2019 with the Snetterton Stages round of the Motorsport News Circuit Rally Championship in association with MSVR.

Organised by the Anglia Motorsport Club, this rally will pit a range of rally cars against the clock, ranging from retro Ford Escorts to modern Subaru and Mitsubishi WRC specials. These cars will battle against the clock on stages incorporating sections of the circuit and venue access roads.

Highlights for the year -

The Bennetts British Superbike Championship returns to the challenging Snetterton 300 circuit during the height of summer - don't miss it!  19 - 21 July

Bennetts BSB will have a refreshed look next season, with a mixture of big name superstars, established series veterans, and young blood. The new cast will include MotoGP convert Scott Redding and charismatic former champion Josh Brookes, plus exciting talents such as Glenn Irwin, Tarran Mackenzie and Bradley Ray.

Two Bennetts BSB races on the Sunday will headline the show, with a superb support line-up including action from the British Supersport Championship and much more.

The Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship's traditional summer scorcher returns to Snetterton in August for three fun-packed races on the challenging 300 circuit 2 - 4 August.

The BTCC is home to some of the planet's finest saloon car racers, all behind the wheel of race prepared machines from household name manufacturers. The BTCC is fast, furious, and most importantly - highly entertaining.

Colin Turkington won the championship last year in nail-biting fashion, and you can guarantee that there will be a long queue of potential contenders hungry to pinch the crown this time around. Bring it on!

The British GT Championship returns to Norfolk's super-speed Snetterton for two supercar thrillers again in 2019, with additional action from the BRDC British F3 Championship. 18 - 19 May

British GT features representation from many of the world's most glamorous performance car manufacturers, plus prestige British marques such as Aston Martin. The races are one-hour dashes to the line with a driver swap half way through so there is plenty of scope for tactical battles.

BRDC British F3, on the other hand is a hotbed of talented youngsters aiming to prove themselves en-route to F1. Former competitors include Britain's newest F1 recruit Lando Norris.

British Truck Racing returns to Snetterton  on 7 and 8 September for a super-sized race meeting like no other you'll see at the Norfolk circuit all year. Race trucks are utterly immense, weighing in at five tonnes with 1000 horsepower to deploy - they have to be seen to be believed.

A packed two-day programme will feature multiple truck races, plus support action and plenty of off-track entertainment too. Snetterton's trucking weekender is a unique fixture in East Anglia's sporting calendar!
