Several venue improvements have been made to Snetterton over the winter, ahead of the Norfolk venue’s 75th anniversary season in 2026, featuring a bumper calendar of two and four wheel action which got underway earlier this month.

This includes new tarmac being laid behind the combination kerbs at Nelson and Murrays. This ensures the circuit remains in compliance with the latest FIA regulations.

Several marshal posts benefitted from the installation of EM light panels, with the circuit now boasting EM LED safety lights at all race weekend flag posts. Additionally, new marshal posts have been installed at the exit of Palmer as well as on the Senna Straight.

New turf, amassing 2000 square metres, has been laid at the majority of run-off areas around the circuit, including at Coram, Nelson Exit and Riches Exit. This is in addition to 400 metres of new tyre walls at Coram, with more than 2000 brand new Pirelli tyres being utilised to create 83 tyre stacks, all constructed using FIA standard fixings.

On top of that, the circuits barriers have been refreshed with 250 sheets of new Armco installed.

Snetterton circuit manager Stuart Mills said: “We’ve carried out a number of works over the off-season, all of which ensure that Snetterton enters its historic 75th anniversary season operating at the standards expected of one of the UK’s leading motorsport venues. The projects completed ensure the venue is in the best possible condition for the year ahead, and we’re massively looking forward to welcoming competitors, spectators, marshals and officials over the coming months.”

Snetterton hosts its first traditional race event of 2026 with the MSVR Season Starter on 14 March, ahead of the first headline event on 23/24 May – the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship. For more information about the 2026 Snetterton season, click here.
